Dance classes in Wickford

Lynda King Dance offers group classes Monday and Tuesday evenings and one-to-one tuition Monday to Wednesday - the choice is yours. Some people prefer the group atmosphere of a class whilst others enjoy the tailor made option of private tuition. Time and availability is another deciding factor. I also offer lessons for weddings and special occasions.

If you have danced before, I can offer you a consultation, by telephone or in person, to help you decide which class is most suitable for you.

Studies have shown that 2 1/2 minutes of Quickstep at an advanced level is equivalent to running a few hundred metres. Just remember how enthusiastic the athletic celebrities have been about dancing as an exercise when competing on the TV show “Strictly Come Dancing”. You do not need to be athletic to take part in one of my classes, just mind-willing and able to attend.

Fact: Pupil Angela, wearing a pedometer, recently recorded that she had danced 2,900 steps during a 1-hour class, learning Quickstep & Cha Cha Cha. More recently, Sharon recorded 2,000 steps in a 30-minute one-to-one lesson.
